Board
of Directors Meeting Minutes, 5 July, 2003, held at
Saddlebrook Restaurant
Roads - Culverts: Buckaroo Road -- Ed to mark it
for the road repair personnel, Granny's Ridge Road --
Completed, Wagon Ridge Road - Next in process, Paving:
Very slow due to rain, in June alone we had over 11"
here
Keys Cabin - Budget of $1000 David Bridgers is
looking for volunteers. Please contact David, home:
336-973-4285 or cell: 336-927-7770, with your name and
number, if you are interested in assisting with the
stabilization of Keys Cabin.
Trails - Water breaks on Dan'l Boone Trail have
had work on them. This work has made a difference in the
wetness of this trail. Thank you Abbie Hanchey (and
congratulations on your recent marriage) and Dick
Johnston.
Recreation Area -Sealing of log cabin,Pool
Furniture - Purchased and in place, Tennis Courts - OK
for now, Lake - stocking - Completed and being used
ATVs, Gators, Mules, etc. - Discussion on their
use continues. Here is the covenant on these vehicles:
Article VIII, 4 (b) "No motorized vehicle, including
motorcycles, motorbikes, etc., except a duly licensed
vehicle, shall be operated on any street and no such
vehicle shall be operated expect by a duly licensed
operator." (There is a consensus that the use of ATVs on
"trail clean up days" and related activities is
accepted.)
Security and Gate -We are maintaining our
equipment.
Entertainment Committee - The developer provided
hot dogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks for the
Independence Day Celebration. Various people who joined
in the festivities brought excellent covered dishes. The
kids had a tremendous time with various activities for
them.
Financial - Most people have paid their dues. A
second notice was mailed earlier this month to those who
have not paid their dues.
Survey - The Board authorized a survey for the
POA membership to further assist in the member's
priorities. Look for this survey in the next few weeks.
