Letter
from the President, 21 April 2002
Dear POA Members:
Enclosed are the notes from your board's last meeting. I
would like to highlight several items and add some
additional information that has happened since that
board meeting.
First, I have had several positive comments by POA
members regarding the security guard and his interaction
with POA members when they have arrived here at very
unusual hours or in an unusual situation. Fortunately
there have been no serious concerns and that is how we
want it to remain.
Second, as you make your plans to build, please remind
your builder that you are responsible for the payment of
a building fee and that if his actions cause undue
damage to Leatherwood roads you, as property owner, are
responsible for those damages.
Third, the guest gate code of xxxxx has been severely
compromised. The security patrol found some unauthorized
people here in Leatherwood late at night on a Monday. I
have authorized a gate code change for the POA members
guests to be changed to xxxxx. While this may cause some
inconvenience, it will assist us in having the piece of
mind that you want.
Fourth, the developer has agreed to have a POA
connection on the www.leatherwood.com website. This is
being done without cost and for those of you who have
internet connections, you will be able to see the
board's minutes and ask questions whenever you have the
need.
Our newly created social committee expects to have
several functions to enable us to get together and enjoy
Leatherwood and each other.
