Report By Randy (Russ)
1. The insurance coverage will not cover every potential
situation however, the dollar amount of coverage we
currently have should be increased. The board voted to
increase general liability coverage from 1M to 5M and
the umbrella from 1M to 2M.
2. Contractor on culvert work in the meadow is not
returning to finish, so Gary Gibson is taking over that
project.
Security…Lelia
Work on the entrance lights is to begin in about a week.
(They are now working.)
There was continued discussion about leaving the gate
open at the Eastern entrance after normal business hours
to avoid using the graveled center entrance since the
security problems are solved. No decision was reached.
Kris and Diane are working on updating the roster
on the gate key.
Chuck and Diane are working on estimates on a new
main gate.
Tire ripper is to be fixed at the end of West Ridge Rd.
A motion was made and seconded to go to a paper ballot
on sensitive or controversial issues. After much
discussion the motion passed.
Roads Committee….Russ, Delaine, Chuck
The new work-share program involving Mike W. and also
the wages paid for different laborers was discussed.
Mowing of the roads is to start immediately and detailed
records for future reference are to be kept.
It was recommended that a job description be written for
each task assigned and a time frame be established for
jobs assigned to none supervised personnel.
Delaine is to speak with several potential workers about
their qualifications in preparation for snow removal and
salting the roads this winter.
Fire Protection….Rex (by Russ)
Many petitions (approx. 127) have been received from
property owners. The FVFD is currently working on the
count, mapping the names on several maps, and getting
prepared to present the petitions to the proper
authorities with the county.
Motion was made to adjourn……
Respectfully Submitted,
David A. Bridgers
Secretary
